4 Ways to Invest in Your Business

As a business owner, I know how scary it can be to invest back in yourself and your business. After all, you don’t have guaranteed income, and worrying about your next payday and when you’ll book your next client is a constant fear.

The downside to this? It’s so harmful to our mindset and the best way to combat this is by investing in ourselves. No, you don’t need to be going out and blowing money on things you don’t need but investing in things that could help you build your brand and grow your business will help you in the long run.

4 Ways to Invest in Your Business

1. TAKE A COURSE

There are so many online courses out there that can fit into any budget. Take a look around and see what your favorite business friends are learning and see what works best for you. The good thing about a lot of courses is that a majority of them are a learn at your own pace-style so there’s no pressure to complete them right away.

Taking a course and learning something new also benefits your clients, too, because you’re continuing to learn that you can offer to them at a later date.

2. OUTSOURCE CERTAIN TASKS

2021 was the year of outsourcing for Hannah Lozano Photography! I bought on a virtual assistant, a photo editor, and a bookkeeper and while I might be cutting into my profit margin, I have SO much more time to be creative, work with clients, relax, and reap the benefits of being self-employed.

If you’re trying to figure out what to outsource, I recommend writing down everything you have to do in your business and separating these tasks into four buckets: tasks you enjoy doing, tasks you don’t enjoy doing, tasks you want to do more of, and tasks you want to do less of. From there, you’ll be able to figure out exactly what you should be outsourcing.

3. UPGRADE YOUR GEAR

No matter what your profession is, you most likely have some sort of tech or gear that allows you to do your job. Treat yourself! Figure out what tools are most important for doing your job and see what needs to be upgraded.

4. BOOK A BRAND SESSION

Branding photography is SO important for your business! It’s the first impression someone will have of your business and it’s how you show off your personality and tell your story. If you don’t have great imagery, people aren’t as likely to stay on your site, no matter how great your product or service is!

Are you ready to give your brand photography an overhaul? Contact Hannah Lozano Photography today to learn about your packages and to schedule your session!
