Personal Brand Shoot: Beauty Founder Ling-Ling Nie

THE STRATEGY

Ling-Ling Nie reached out to Hannah Lozano Photography for a personal brand shoot ahead of the launch of her cosmetics line, Tender Cosmetics. We are obsessed with all things in the beauty space (especially over at Poppy Marketing) so naturally we were stoked about this project! We love working with female founders in all industries.

Tender Cosmetics encapsulates the laid back, effortless vibe of makeup and beauty. As a lawyer, Ling-Ling wanted to create a product that helps working women feel great in their own skin while accentuating their own natural beauty. We wanted the vibe of her brand shoot to be the same, natural, effortless, and accentuating her natural beauty. Ling-Ling chose outfits that reflect her professionalism without looking super uptight. She often has to dress a certain way for her corporate job, so this shoot was an opportunity to have a little more fun with her wardrobe while still looking professional.

For this shoot, we booked time at Kiah Studios in Woodstock, just north of Atlanta. The space is large with amazing natural light. It’s got a variety of areas that allows you to mix up the content without getting too repetitive, and it’s a great value. We love that it’s pretty neutral so you can bring in however much color works for your brand.
